Taylor's Time!

Hello again!

Taylor, I love ya, but you gotta stop doing this to me!

Last week - Safe Now.

This week - a lovely opinion piece on Anne of Green Gables (oops, spoilers).

What's next?

Just so you know, if you were curious? Anne is still alive and well in my time. Her stories are classics, and are read and loved by people across the galaxy.

- Kendra

"What a splendid day. Isn't it good just to be alive on a day like this? I pity the people who aren't born yet for missing it. They may have good days, of course, but they can never have this one." - Anne Of Green Gables

Anne Surrly Cuthburt may be a fictional character, but her outlook on life is one we should all strive to have. I highly encourage you to read "Anne Of Green Gables" or if you're not into books, to watch "Anne With An E" on Netflix. I've been binge listening to the book series on the "Audible" app and I have learned so much from Anne in such a short time.

"Life is worth living as long as there's a laugh in it."

From Anne, I've learned to truly appreciate the beauty of the world around me. She is constantly pointing out the natural beauty of the environment around her. From "The Lake Of Shining Waters" to "Violet Vail" to "The White Way Of Delight", Anne's beauty loving eyes absorb it all with a spirit of external wonder.

"Look at that sea, girls--all silver and shadow and vision of things not seen. We couldn't enjoy its loveliness any more if we had millions of dollars and ropes of diamonds."

I've even taken notice of similarities between Anne and myself. We both possess an imagination that is childlike and Neverending. We both dream of a life surrounded by nature. And, when we love, we love forever.

"The world calls them its singers and poets and artists and storytellers; but they are just people who have never forgotten the way to fairyland."

I always love to say that Anne represents everything that my stutter forces me to keep down. I find myself feeling enchanted every ine she speaks, then feeling even more enchanted when I realize that the things she says were simmering in my thoughts all along.

"God's in His heaven, all's right with the world."

I am not kidding when I say that no other fictional character has impacted my outlook on life the way she has. Her colorful soul shines so brightly that it is impossible to not fall in love with her. I am forever grateful to L.M. Montgomery, the author, for creating such a gorgeous little soul. I strive to be just like Anne everyday.

"Dear old world, you are very lovely, and I am glad to be alive in you."
