Today’s song is Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins. Everyone knows this song and the movie it came from, right? Top Gun? Hotshot Navy pilots throwing themselves across the sky in their Tomcats?
Exactly.
That’s the vibe I wanted for chapter nine. In the previous book, The Measure of Humanity, I introduced a new small craft, the Direwolves, a fast, powerful fighter. And now, in this chapter, we focus on some squadron practice, led by Shooting Star. The song simply fits with what she’s doing, trying to impress upon her pilots exactly what a Direwolf can do as only she can do it.
