A Quiet Revolution Playlist Song 14

How can it be the end of the week again already? Wasn’t yesterday Monday?

So I’m not sure if you’ve picked up on this, but one of the big influences on me as I grew up was Star Trek.

Oh, you did? Good.

So my ‘conceit’ for the books is Kendra has even more of an obsession. She gets to look back on our reality as if it were her own, and she grabs the ‘good bits’. She idealizes Roddenberry’s Star Trek ethos, and she tries to bring it into her 22nd century world. She believes, and she wants others to believe.

This song is the theme to Star Trek: The Motion Picture, which also got turned into the theme for Star Trek: The Next Generation. This version is performed by the Boston Pops Orchestra, conducted by John Williams, and it’s certainly my favorite version.

Why here? Because, for the first time since the end of The Road to the Stars, one of their starships is actually getting out into the black and doing some exploration. And they just happen to be heading for 40 Eridani. Go ahead, google it.

So release day is in four weeks; that’s when the price of the ebook goes up. If you want the deal, better pre-order! And you can have a chance to win all four books, autographed, as well!
